Inspections Department

The Town of Thunderbolt's inspections department is responsible for all building, plumbing, and electrical inspections within the Town. These inspections are primarily done on new commercial and residential construction and are done in a manner that is compliant with the local, state, and federal standards. However, it may be necessary to conduct inspections on any/all renovations on existing structures or facilities.

The Town of Thunderbolt building inspector is Bob Fischer.

Fire inspections are NOT provided for by the Town of Thunderbolt. The Town of Thunderbolt's fire inspections are conducted by the Chatham County fire inspector. However, arrangements for all fire inspections should be made through the Town of Thunderbolt's Inspections Department.
