Parks

The Town of Thunderbolt has four parks which are open for public use. To schedule an event at any one of these four parks, please call the Town Clerk's office at the Thunderbolt Town Hall. Please be advised the Thunderbolt Park Policy has been revised with new fees and rules. A copy of the new policy is available with the Clerk as well.

Please allow 2 weeks notice to schedule ALL events. Some user fees may apply.

Nellie Johnson ParkNellie Johnson ParkNellie Johnson Park is located on the corner of Cedar Street and Falligant Avenue across from Tara Nursing Home in Thunderbolt. This park is beautifully landscaped and equipped with a full restroom facility.

Amenities include:

  • Swing
  • Basketball Court
  • Covered picnic area
  • Slide and playground
  • Restrooms
W E Honey ParkW.E. Honey ParkW. E. Honey Park is located at the far end of Mechanics Avenue off Victory Drive. Honey Park is a lovely park facility with a pavilion to allow for outdoor eating and entertainment. This park is fully equipped with a dock that spans out to the Wilmington River, great for fishing! Currently, a full
restroom facility is available for use.

Amenities include:

  • Pavilion for outdoor eating and entertainment
  • Fishing pier that spans into the Wilmington River
  • Playground
  • Restrooms
Thomson ParkThomson ParkThomson Park is the third of Thunderbolt Parks. Thomson Park is located off of River Drive directly across from the new Thunderbolt Town Hall and is adjacent to Thunderbolt Harbor Condominium Community.

Amenities include:

  • Pavilion for outdoor eating and entertainment
  • Scenic view of the Inter-coastal waterway (Wilmington River)

Cesaroni Park Cesaroni Park

Cesaroni park is the fourth of Thunderbolt Parks.
It is located off of 2nd St. and Center St. near the
Thunderbolt Fire Department.

Amenities include: 

  • Basketball Court
  • Small Baseball field
  • Grassy area for picnics
